We are affiliated with the Western Australian Volleyball Association Inc. Our goals include fostering and encouraging Volleyball in our community for all ages.
The 2009 Indoor Volleyball season is now over. The 2010 season begins in/around March 2010. You will notice that details on this web site relate to 2010 where information is known, and 2009 where details for 2010 are not yet available.

ECU Chequers has accredited Coaches, Referees and Administrators within the club and is a competitive and respected affiliate of the Volleyball fraternity. As well as developing Juniors, we also have an interest in Masters Volleyball. We are a 'healthy club', here is our Healthy Club Policy and here's the latest Healthy Club Newsletter.

When we train
Every Tuesday evening: February - September 2009
Women and Men and Social Drop-in 6.00pm-8.00 pm begins again on 27 October 2009 - $5.00 per session.
Training for 2010 commences in February. Details for training will be posted here in early 2010 please check back for more information.

When we play games
Summer League: Friday evenings and Sunday mornings (March).
This competition is played on Friday evenings (and 2 Sunday mornings) at Loftus Recreation Centre, Corner of Loftus and Vincent Sts, Leederville. Summer League commences on 8 March 2009 and concludes on 29 March 2009. A weekly game fee applies. ECU Chequers training for Summer League is from Tuesday 24 February 2009 at $5.00/week.
Perth Volleyball League: Sundays (May- October) and a couple of Friday evenings.
We play on Sundays in the Perth Volleyball League(PVL), which is run by the Volleyball WA. The venue for PVL is Loftus Recreation Centre in Leederville and the duration of the games is approximately 2 hours, we are also expected to do duty for other games, so there will be a 3 - 4 hour time commitment. The PVL competition runs from May to October 2010 (to be confirmed), fixtures vary from week to week, first game starts at 9.00am, last game of the day starts at about 4.00pm. A weekly game fee also applies.
Social mixed volleyball games (during the off-season)
Tuesdays, 6.00 - 8.00pm, $5.00/week

What it Costs
Our club fee structure will change for the 2010 season. Recommendations proposed at the AGM held on Oct 31 2009 can be viewed in the attached Slideshow.
Previous year's (2009) Club Fees are still available for comparison purposes. Due dates for Club fees for 2010 season will be notified soon.
If you volunteer to Coach for the season, the administration component of your club fees and cost of VWA run Coaching Course will be reimbursed. See our Treasurer for conditions and payment.
